REAL Scaffold Design Knowledge
Scaffold bridge built entirely from aluminium beams, scaffold tube and fittings measuring 43m in length spanning over the A639 directly adjacent to Park Road Bridge. The bridge was designed to carry the service cables from the railway and also provide man access long its length. The bridge was built off site by SYS and transported to site in three sections. After re-assembly the bridge was craned into position during a night time road closure before being secured to its supporting scaffold towers.
The re-assembled scaffold bridge the day of the night time lift.
