REAL Scaffold Design Knowledge
Drop scaffold system provided for dismantling pipe & single track bridge. The scaffold system consisted of two identical drop scaffolds suspended below the bridge deck, initally erected at centre span then each unit moved progressively and simultaneously towards each bank. Each unit consists of a suspended frame with a cantilevered forward section that can retract back into the frame.
Both scaffold units erected at mid-span ready for start of dismantle works.
